VISION FOR THE FUTURE
As the needs of the Oak View community continue to evolve, Oak View ComUNIDAD remains
committed to growing alongside them. We have identified several urgent areas where expanded
support is needed. However, as a small, grassroots, volunteer-led organization, we cannot meet
these needs alone.
With the help of grant funding and community partnerships, we aim to significantly broaden our
impact. Our vision for the future includes offering:

Improved security for food and basic necessities in the community. We envision continuing, streamlining, and expanding our distribution of healthy food, fresh produce, and basic household necessities to Oak View residents on a weekly basis.

Mental health support. To promote healing and emotional well-being for the Oak View residents, we envision organizing activities that help build resilience in individuals and in the community as a whole.

Assistance with housing and utility costs. To help residents remain stable and secure in their homes, we envision providing financial aid to help pay for rent, utilities, and other basic services.

Immigration resources and education for the community. To support families and ensure access to justice, we envision helping community members access resources and education that are offered by other Orange County nonprofit organizations with specific immigration expertise.
As we work toward these aspirational goals, we remain deeply rooted in our mission: to uplift the Oak View community with compassion, equity, and an unwavering belief in the power of
collective action.
